Investment Approach
We are primarily focused on three core sectors: Food & Beverages, Technology and Tourism, while we are flexible to look at special situations and deep value opportunities outside those areas.
We provide capital and strategic resources and we work in partnership with management teams to help companies create value by improving their organizations, creating synergies, optimizing capital structures and expanding in new products and markets outside Greece.
We are flexible to invest in various types of transaction and/or co-invest with other investors that share the same values with us. Our mandate allow us to invest on different stages such as Expansion, Growth, Acquisition.
We typically take a minority shareholding, but a majority is also possible.

We focus at food processing companies and agribusiness. We look for companies that want to exploit further their export potential, either through product development or market expansion. We are also interested in companies that invest in the efficient use of primary resources.
Technology
Technology
We specifically look at companies, across cycles that are involved in Internet of Things, Security, Big Data Analytics and Smart TV.
Tourism
Tourism
We are interested in both hospitality and tourism service companies.
Our Team
Iraklis Kounadis
Iraklis Kounadis is the founder of Neweleven Capital. Over the past 25 years he served in several management and Board positions within the Greek investment banking sector. Iraklis was the CEO of Investment Bank of Greece from 2002 to 2011. Under his management IBG was transformed from a small domestic broker to Greece’s leading brokerage & investment bank with international presence and leading market shares. From 2010 to 2011, Iraklis served as deputy CEO in Marfin Egnatia Bank.
Costis Sinanidis
Costis Sinanidis has 18 years of experience in financial analysis both in the sell and the buy side, in sectors such as banks, energy, food & bev, gaming and retail. Costis was for many years the Director of Research and then Director of Equity Sales in Investment Bank of Greece, a leading Greek brokerage. Both his teams have been ranked several times in the top 3 positions for Greece Research and Sales by Reuters Extel. Until recently, Costis served as a member of the European Securities Network executive committee.
Sofia Tiniakou
Sofia Tiniakou has 15 years of experience in senior private banking and wealth management positions in UK and Greek firms. During these years, Sofia managed the balance sheets of high net wealth individuals and provided advice on strategic asset allocation decisions. Sofia has also a 5 year experience in the Greek Tourism industry serving at a senior management position in one of Greece’s largest hotel chains.
Dimosthenis Kyriazis
Dimosthenis Kyriazis received his diploma from the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2001 and his MSc degree in “Techno-Economics” in 2004. Since 2007, he holds a PhD in the area of Service Oriented Architectures with a focus on quality aspects and workflow management from NTUA. His expertise lies with service-based, distributed and heterogeneous systems, software and service engineering. As a Senior Research Engineer of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS)of NTUA, he has participated in several EU and National funded projects leading research related to distributed computing. He is currently a Lecturer at University of Piraeus, focusing research on virtualization technologies, techniques of the Internet of things domain and approaches for big data.
Maria Vogiatzi
Maria Vogiatzi graduated from the Economic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2006. She joined Neweleven Capital as a junior support analyst. Maria has 15 years of experience in retail of technology products, services and food, holding an administrative position for 10 years.
